Wine Labels

How to Remove Wine Labels - Wine bottles can be submerged in water that is warm to hot in temperature until the labels are lose and come off easily. Wineries that produce wine in America tend to use stronger glue than European wine labels, making the labels harder to soak off. If you cannot remove the label safely, keeping it intact, you might want to think about recording the label information into a cellar book for future reference.

If the labels do not loosen on their own, do not try to force it off as you may ruin the label. After the bottle is left to soak in hot water, take the labels and stick them with the printed side against the front of your refrigerator. Make sure that the labels are still wet. By sticking the labels against the refrigerator, will allow the water to dry off rapidly and the label lays flat against the enamel. This creates a perfectly flat label for you to place into your protective book.

If you find interesting information on the back of the label, you can also soak that part off and paste it into your book.
